Elevator Pitch and Networking Course
Business Networking is all about building relationships with professional contacts and potential clients; it’s a vital skill but not one that everyone feels comfortable or confident with. This course gives participants the opportunity to learn how to network with confidence. You’ll learn how to use your own style to put yourself and others at ease; the emphasis is very much on building relationships rather than on
First you’ll need an elevator pitch. The name elevator pitch comes from the idea that it’s possible to introduce yourself, your organisation or your product in the time it takes to make a short elevator ride. Your elevator pitch is a short speech you use when talking to colleagues and potential clients. Your pitch should be interesting, memorable, and succinct. It also needs to explain what makes you, your organisation, product, or idea unique.
Later, we’ll look at the importance of your Linked In profile and consider whether it creates the impact you intend it to create.; you’ll have the opportunity to think about how to create a positive first impression on people when you meet them. You’ll find out how to shake hands and what to say. You’ll also find out how to easily join and leave groups without feeling awkward or making excuses.
Learning occurs largely through discussions and practical exercises such as role plays. You may find yourself participating in whole group or small group discussions, working in pairs or by yourself using tools and techniques that will enable you to identify your USP and craft your elevator pitch before you discover how to network effectively. The role play exercises help to cement your learning and ensure you leave the course feeling more confident about networking clients, potential clients
